Sight Words Game | Fry & Dolch Words | Ready, Set, Show

Description

Includes a Google Slides version. The links, along with instructions, can be found to the left of slide 1 or in the Notes section of slide 1 when viewing the PowerPoint in editing (not presentation) mode. The Google Classroom version does not include teacher directions or editable text boxes and slides, so it is ready to be shared directly with students and parents via Google Classroom.

This digital resource is intended to be a practice or review activity you can download & use immediately. It includes all of the Fry and Dolch sight words for grades K-3.

Use this sight word activity as a:

• Whole class reading warmup
• Small group activity during literacy centers (display the show on an iPad or Chromebook)
• One on one practice activity with a parent volunteer or para educator
• Sight words assessment – Use the editable slides to create a set of sight words to be assessed. Then display this on a screen during assessments.
• Brain break – Add the included movement slides throughout the show and have students do the fitness moves when they see these slides
• Brain break – Without using the included movement slides, have students do a jumping jack/lunge/toe touch when they read the sight word on the “Read” slide (EASY!)

Editable slides are included in the PowerPoint version only.
