Kimberly J. –
My students really enjoyed this activity. I used it during small groups and often gave a point to each student who had a correct response and then a second point for the student who turned his/her board around the quickest. It gave students who needed a little more time to process, that time since I was the one controlling when students would flip their answer boards around to show their responses. Those students felt more included and not like they were being left behind. It also allowed me to click forward quickly, to the next step, and catch those students who were not on task a little off guard. It was a great classroom management tool in that respect, students got the hint very quickly that they needed to be paying attention to those slides if they wanted their points.
